Gladstone PAWS STEPS (Short Term Emergency Pet Services) program.
Gladstone PAWS has partnered with the Coordinated Community Response for Domestic and Family Violence (CCRDFV) and other community services to assist, where possible, with short-term crisis accommodation or petsitting services.
This service is currently eligible for Gladstone residents effected by Domestic Violence, or for those who need to stay in hospital and have no-one else to look after your pet/s. As we are a new and small group, we are currently only able to assist with small animals until such time that we are able to acquire funding or a secure premises for larger animals at short notice.
If you’re able, a small donation for each pet in care would be appreciated. In the event you are not able to take your pet back into your care for any reason, we are happy to assist with finding your animal a loving home.
Note: We do not offer holiday accommodation. This program does not currently cover homelessness, mental health or incarceration care.
For more information on this service please contact our group President, Nicole Allison, directly on 0449826105 or our general enquiries line on 0429127950.
Alternatively the RSPCA Crisis Care Program may be able to assist you.
If you would like to find out more about the RSPCA Pets in Crisis program, including eligibility, please call DV Connect in the first instance. Please note that this program is for domestic violence cases only, and not homelessness, mental health or hospitalisation cases.
